Integration is simple:

1. Log into your Usage dashboard.

3. View your savings in real-time.
4. To activate the savings, simply click the Autopilot power button.

No engineering work is required to start achieving savings. Our platform is designed to be user-friendly, allowing you to focus on what matters most—innovating and growing your business.

Q: How do you achieve 30-50% savings with no additional work? Sounds too good to be true.

A: Usage purchases Insured Commitments on your behalf via API calls. Insured Commitments allow you to scale your infrastructure up or down without worrying about being locked in. They come with a Guaranteed Buyback up to the full amount of your commitment, so any level of underutilization is covered by Usage. This means you benefit from the savings of long-term commitments without the risk of waste.

Q: Do you offer this on databases?

A: As of June 2024, Usage supports the following services:

• AWS: EC2, Fargate, ECS/EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, Redshift
• GCP: Google Compute Engine
• Azure: Compute VMs

We are actively working to expand our support to include database services for both GCP and Azure in the near future.

Q: How flexible are Insured Commitments?

A: They are 100% flexible. You can adjust your usage at any time without penalties or additional costs. This flexibility ensures that your cloud infrastructure aligns perfectly with your business needs, allowing you to scale confidently.

Q: Is any work required to get started?

A: The only step required is a 5-10 minute savings test. Connect Usage to your cloud account via a read-only role to assess your potential savings. Once you're satisfied and wish to activate the savings, you can upgrade your role to grant Usage the ability to purchase commitments on your behalf. Rest assured, these permissions only allow us to manage your commitments; there is zero risk of data access or downtime.

Q: Are you available on the AWS, Azure, and GCP marketplaces?

A: We are currently available on the AWS Marketplace and are working diligently to be listed on both the Azure and GCP Marketplaces later this year.

Q: I've connected my cloud account. How do I start saving?

A: Once you've connected your cloud account(s), you'll see a dashboard displaying your potential savings. Simply click "Approve" to start realizing these savings. If you're using AWS, you might see a more detailed breakdown. You can switch between different cloud providers using the dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the dashboard.
